2012 - Abell sat out 2012 with a medicalredshirt.

2011 - Abell was an honorable mention All-MIAAselection after leading the Lions in wins (8) and strikeouts (74)... the 74 strikeouts ranked second in the MIAA ... He had his bestgame of the year in an eight inning, 10 strikeout win overNorthwest Missouri ... Also struck out nine in six innings in a winover Washburn ... overall, Abell was 8-6 on the season with a 4.52ERA and 74 strikeouts in 89.2 innings of work. 

At North Central (Texas)- Abell was a two-yearletterman while at North Central College.

In High School- A four-year starter forCoach Mercer's Miami Wardogs club, Abell helped lead his teamto the 2007 state championship. Abell earned All-Conferenceaccolades in each of his last three years as a prep and also earnedAll-State honors as a senior.

Personal- Brett is the son ofJerry and Becky Abell. He was born in Miami,Okla. on November 20, 1989. Brett is a business major atMSSU.
