Prior to Southern
Roach, a native of Vinita, Oklahoma, prepped at Vinita High School before spending her first two collegiate years at Coffeyville Community College. At Vinita, she was a four-year letter winner in softball, cross country, and track and field, and a three-year letter winner in basketball under coach Scott Reed. At Coffeyville, Roach played in 62 games with 42 starts, averaging 7.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game over two seasons. In the 2022-23 season, she averaged 9.9 points, shooting 80.9% from the free-throw line and 35.8% from the field, while adding 5.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. During her prep career, she averaged 12 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and 1.5 steals per game, earning All-State honors from OGBCA and the Oklahoma Native Association, as well as All-Region and All-District selections. Roach helped lead Vinita to two conference championships, three area tournament appearances, three district championships, two regional championships, and four invitational tournament titles. In softball, she posted a career .402 batting average, stole 38 bases, and earned All-Conference honors as a junior and senior, along with All-Region and three-time All-District recognition. On the track, she was a three-time state qualifier and part of a 4x400-meter relay team that finished as runners-up and a 4x800-meter relay team that placed sixth. In cross country, Roach qualified for state three times, with her best finish being a time of 13:11. She was the Valedictorian of her class and a member of the National Honor Society at Vinita, as well as a member of the Coffeyville Community College Student Life Ambassadors.

Kennady, the daughter of Tammy and Tony Roach, is pursuing a degree in Nursing at Southern.
