Prior to Southern
McBride prepped at Marshfield High School, where he was a standout in both track and basketball as a Bluejay. A three-time All-State triple jumper, he won the state titles in both the triple and long jump events as a senior. He was also named All-Conference in track and basketball, and set school records as the all-time leader in career three-pointers made and as a 1,000-point scorer.

Peyton, the son of Tara and Rodney McBride, is pursuing a degree in Accounting at Southern.
