At Lamar (Colo.) College: Played in all 30 games where he averaged 6.3 points per game, 2.9 rebounds and 1.1 steals, while shooting 43.1 percent from the field and 36 percent from long range. 

In High School: Hinsey played at Fayetteville Christian High School in Fayetteville, Ark. for coaches Kevin Osnes his junior season and Brad Jones his senior campaign ... In his junior year, Hinsey averaged nine points and seven rebounds, while helping to lead the team to the school's first state championship ... In his senior year, he averaged 24 points per game and 12 rebounds per contest, while chipping in three steals per game and helping the Eagles to the final eight in the state tournament.
