2014 - Gutierres started in all nine appearances for the Lions on the offensive line... Helped Southern reach 2,954 rushing yards on a school record 618 carries and 39 rushing touchdowns... Named MIAA Academic Honor Roll (3.42 GPA).

Prior to Southern - Gutierres was a two-year starter and team captain for coach Gary Thomas and the Conquistadors … He was the Offensive Line MVP this season and was named an All-Conference pick … Gutierres was a three-year starter at Dodge City High School where he was a team captain … He was a first-team All-State left tackle, and was chosen to play in the K101 Bowl.
