2024 - At the RSU Distance After Dark, ran a personal best time in the 5k at 19:13.8 on Sept 5 ... Ran a personal best in the 6k with a time of 22:33.2 at the NCAA DII Central Region Championship on Nov 9.
2023 - Ran a season-best time in the 5k at the Southern Stampede in the 5k with a time of 19:40.8m on Sept 15 ... At the MIAA Championships, ran a season-best in the 6k with a time of 23:39.5 on Oct 20.

Prior to Southern
Nelson prepped at Liberty High School, where she competed in both cross country and track as a Bluejay. She was part of the track team that finished fifth at the State meet as a junior and seventh as a senior.
Personal
Hailey, the daughter of Paige and Steve Nelson, is pursuing a degree in Marine Biology at Southern. Her sister Zoe is also on the track and cross country roster.
