Biography

Prior To Southern
Hood transfers to Missouri Southern from University of Missouri-Kansas City.  As a freshman, recorded a season-best 600m time of 1:43.47 at the Alexis Jarrett Invitational (2025) to finish third in the event. Ran a season-best 800m time of 2:24.10 at the Washburn Open (2025). Ran a season-best mile time of 5:29.07 at the Missouri Invitational (2025). Ran a season-best 400-meter hurdles time of 1:08.93 at the Arkansas Twilight (2025).

Three-time All-State and a state champion in the 4x800 relay race at Talequah High School. Four-time All-Conference runner. Team captain for Cross Country and Track & Field all four years. 13x state medalist. 800m school record at 2:20.73 and part of the 4x800 school record of 9:56.84. Competed for the Thunder Road Running club team for coaches Kevin Ondrasek and Chase Wooten. 

Was a part of STUCO, S-club, Link Crew, National Honors Society, Tahlequah Minds Matter, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Youth Action for Health, Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership, Honors Jazz Choir, Youth Track Mentor Program ... Top 3 percent of high school class, 4-year member of NHS, 2020 Academic Cross Country State Champions. 

Personal
McKenna, the daughter of Robyn and Jerrod Hood. Mother, Robyn Hood, was a Cross Country and Track athlete at Missouri Southern. Father, Jerrod, played football for Northeastern State.
