2014-15: Saw action in nine games as a freshman...went 5-for-15 (33.3 percent) from the field in limited playing time...gathered five rebounds, dished out five assists, and came up with three steals....set season highs in points (6), field goals made (2), three throws made (2), and steals (2) against Oklahoma Panhandle on November 14th...contributed a season high four assists as the Lions set a new school mark for assists in a single game in a 101-46 win over Central Christian on November 25th.
Prior to Southern: Kayla was a four-year letter winner in basketball at Gulf High School in Port Richey, Florida playing for coaches Mike Quarto and Clare Ennis ...Kivinski averaged 17.0 points, 12 rebounds, three steals, five assists and two blocks per game as a senior ... as a junior, Kivinski earned first-team All-North Suncoast honors and 5A Florida Prospectus All Florida Team honors as a junior ...  In addition, she was named the Sunshine Athletic Conference Player of the Year and earned FABC 5A All-State honors while averaging 19.6ppg, 11.3 rpg, 4.1 spg, 2.1 bpg and 2.3 apg ... As a sophomore, she earned FABC 5A All-State and FACA 5A All-State honors, while being named the Tampa Bay Times All-North Suncoast Player of the Year ...In addition, she earned Tampa Tribune first-team All-County, Tampa Bay Times first-team All-Suncoast and first-team all-conference honors while averaging 18.2 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 3.8 spg, 1.9 apg, and 1.9 bpg ... She set the school record for points in a game with 49 and joined the 1,000 point club as a junior while leading Gulf HS to its third-straight district championship ...
