Prior to Southern: McFarland has been a four year letterwinner in track and field, as well as a three-year letterwinner in volleyball at the school ... Competing for coaces Bobby Bell and Brandi Purvis on the track side, McFarland was a state qualifier in the pole vault, as well as a regional qualifier in the 400m ... On the volleyball court, she helped her team to the state volleyball playoffs two times, while being named All-District twice.
Personal: The daughter of Billy and Chanda McFarland, Ashleigh plans to major in kinesiology at Southern. Sister, Lauren is a pole vaulter at Oral Roberts.
