Biography

Prior to Southern
Phoenix Murphy is a quarterback from Norman, Oklahoma, who attended Norman High School. Over the course of his high school career, he earned three varsity letters in football from his sophomore through senior years. He started 24 games and accumulated 5,305 passing yards and 58 passing touchdowns. Murphy was named the COAC Player of the Year and the 6A1-1 Offensive Player of the Year. He was also recognized with All-Conference First-Team honors for his standout performance on the field. In addition to football, he participated in basketball, track, and golf during high school.
 
Personal
Phoenix, the son of Terra and Cory Murphy, brother to Ryder, Talen, and Zion, plans to pursue a degree in Kinesiology at Southern.
