PITTSBURG, Kan. — The Missouri Southern track and field teams turned in another strong performance Saturday at the Almost Last Chance Invitational hosted by Pittsburg State University, recording multiple event victories, personal records and NCAA qualifying marks.
Dailynn VanDeren led the women with wins in the shot put (17.00m) and hammer throw (59.83m PR), while
Allyssa Mahone won the discus with a personal-best and NCAA qualifying mark of 50.61 meters. On the men's side,
Jamale Williams swept the shot put and discus titles with NCAA qualifying PRs in both events.
In the javelin,
Adrianne Casey won the women's competition with a personal-best 50.75 meters, while
Manuel Campana placed third in the men's event with a PR and NCAA qualifying mark of 66.03 meters.
Additional standout performances included
Morgan Pork running a personal-best 54.88 in the 400m dash,
Gabe Ford placing second in the hammer and discus with PRs in both events and
Abby Hobbs earning an NCAA qualifying mark in the pole vault.
