KANSAS CITY, Mo. – No. 11-ranked Missouri Southern's
Kiki Pickens was named the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Softball Pitcher of the Week, the league announced Monday. The weekly honor is the second-straight for Pickens in 2026.
Kiki Pickens registered two wins and a save including a no-hitter as No. 11 Missouri Southern went 3-1 over its MIAA conference weekend.
Pickens registered a 0.58 ERA over four appearances (two starts), with a complete-game shutout over 12.0 total innings with 13 strikeouts. She picked up the game two win over Central Missouri, throwing the final 1.2 innings with a trio of strikeouts while not allowing a hit or a run.
Pickens followed that up with a no-hitter of Rogers State, throwing a complete-game shutout with seven strikeouts and four walks. She concluded the weekend with a save in the RSU doubleheader finale, notching a strikeout while allowing just a walk. Pickens is now 16-3 in 2026 (6-1 in MIAA) with eight complete games, two shutouts, and a save.
The MIAA weekly honor is the fifth for Pickens in her career at Missouri Southern and second honor this season. She was previously tabbed MIAA Pitcher of the Week three times in the 2025 season.
MSSU returns home to continue MIAA play with a doubleheader against Newman University on Friday, followed by a doubleheader on Saturday against University of Central Oklahoma.
