KANSAS CITY, Mo. – No. 10-ranked Missouri Southern's
Kiki Pickens was named the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Softball Pitcher of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Pickens went 2-0 over her two starts this past week, tallying a 0.50 ERA with 12 strikeouts over 14 innings.
The junior from Beebe, Arkansas, allowed just one earned run on one hit with five strikeouts as she went the distance in the victory against Missouri Western.
Pickens followed that up, with another complete game against Northwest Missouri, allowing zero earned runs on two hits with seven strikeouts.
With the pair of wins, Pickens improved to 14-2 in 2026 with seven complete games.
The MIAA weekly honor is the fourth for Pickens in her career at Missouri Southern. She was previously tabbed MIAA Pitcher of the Week three times in the 2025 season.
MSSU returns home to continue MIAA play with a doubleheader against University of Central Missouri on Friday, followed by a Senior Day doubleheader on Saturday against Rogers State University.
