#10 Missouri Southern 6, Northwest Missouri 1
Missouri Southern secured a decisive 6–1 victory over Northwest Missouri in game one of Saturday's doubleheader. A standout performance included MSSU scoring four runs in the second inning, setting the tone for their triumph.

Northwest Missouri took an early lead in the first inning after Mackenzie Mlnarik's aggressive baserunning capitalized on a fielder's choice and subsequent stolen base, eventually scoring on a Missouri Southern error.

However, MSSU responded decisively in the second inning, leveraging free bases and a wild pitch to shift momentum. Carsen Tinkler's walk set the stage, and subsequent walks to Emily Perry and Cady Dickey loaded the bases. A wild pitch allowed Tinkler to score, and Maddie Rolfs followed with a clutch single to center, driving in two more runs for a 4–1 lead.

Missouri Southern maintained pressure throughout, highlighted by Cady Dickey's RBI double in the third inning. In the seventh inning, Katie Gray delivered the final blow with a solo home run, extending the lead to five runs. Defensively, Missouri Southern held the Bearcats scoreless after the first inning, with efficient pitching and clean fielding closing the door on any comeback attempts.

The Bearcats took an early lead in the first inning when Mlnarik scored on an error, making the score 1–0.

Missouri Southern responded decisively in the second inning. Tinkler scored on a wild pitch, and Perry crossed home on a walk by Bailey Dillon. Rolfs contributed with a two-RBI single, bringing the score to 4–1.

In the third inning, Tinkler scored again, this time driven in by a double from Dickey. This extended Southern's lead to 5–1.
