FORT SMITH, Ark. — Missouri Southern opened play Monday at the Women's Hardscrabble Invitational, hosted by Arkansas-Fort Smith at Hardscrabble Country Club (par 70).

Maryn Harlow led the Lions with rounds of 79 (+9) and 81 (+11), while Caitlin Metcalfe followed an opening 82 (+12) with a team-best 79 (+9) in round two. Gabrielle Rettinghaus (82-84) and Katarina Chynoranska (88-84) added consistent scores for Southern, with Chynoranska improving by four strokes in her second round. Avary Eckert (95-90) rounded out the lineup, cutting five strokes off her opening round.

The Lions conclude play Tuesday with the final round.
