VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Missouri Southern closed out the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday at the Virginia Beach Sports Center with four All-American performances in the shot put.
In the men's competition,
Cedric Pearson led the Lions with a second-place finish and a personal-best throw of 18.68 meters, earning First Team All-American honors.
Jamale Williams also earned First Team All-American recognition, finishing eighth with a mark of 17.93 meters.
Lucas Trotter placed 17th (16.14m) and
Trace Wooldridge finished 18th (16.08m).
On the women's side,
Dailynn VanDeren placed third with a throw of 16.20 meters to earn First Team All-American honors, while
Kirsten Womack finished 12th with a mark of 14.47 meters to earn Second Team All-American honors.
