HENDERSON, Nev. — The Missouri Southern women's golf team opened play at the Las Vegas Warrior Women's Invitational, hosted by Winona State at The Legacy Golf Club, on Wednesday.

Leading the way for the Lions was Katarina Chynoranska, who carded a 76 (+4) in the opening round. Chynoranska's round put her among the early leaders on the 5,857-yard, par-72 course.

Gabrielle Rettinghaus followed with an 80 (+8), while Avary Eckert finished just behind with an 81 (+9).

Caitlin Metcalfe and Maryn Harlow each recorded rounds of 82 (+10) to round out the team scoring for Missouri Southern.

Competing as an individual, Cierra Tunley shot an 89 (+17) in the opening round.

The Lions will return to the course for the final round tomorrow as they look to climb the leaderboard in Henderson.
