KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Seventh seeded Missouri Southern men's basketball (16-12) will open the 2026 MIAA Basketball Championship Wednesday, March 4 at Municipal Auditorium.
 
The Lions will face #10 seeded Northwest Missouri Wednesday (March 4) at 8:15 p.m., CT in the opening round at Municipal Auditorium. With a win over NWMSU, MSSU would advance to Thursday's (March 5 at 8:15 p.m., CT) quarterfinals against #2 seeded Central Missouri.
 
MSSU Athletics will have a sendoff two hours prior to the men's basketball games at the Marriott in Kansas City.
