PITTSBURG, Kan. – Missouri Southern turned in a strong Friday at the 11th Annual Russ Jewett Indoor Gorilla Classic, recording multiple NCAA qualifying marks and personal-best performances.

The Lions were led by a dominant showing in the weight throw. Dailynn VanDeren won the women's event with an NCAA qualifying mark of 19.61 meters, while Kirsten Womack placed second with a personal-best 18.48 meters to earn a qualifier. On the men's side, Drake Willenborg (3rd), Tyson Williams (5th) and Isaiah Waller (6th) all posted NCAA qualifying marks, with Williams and Waller setting personal bests.

In the jumps, Kadance Barnett secured an NCAA qualifying mark in the women's long jump with a personal-best 5.73 meters, while Ayden Walton and Chase Querry added top-six finishes in the men's event. Eva Engel tied for second in the women's pole vault open with a matched personal best.

On the track, Aryah Moore posted an NCAA qualifying time in the women's 60-meter hurdles prelims to advance to finals, while Tomas Foreman also qualified on the men's side. Cameron Cleveland and Ella Fosse added personal-best performances in the 200 meters.
