Kansas City, Mo. - The Missouri Southern Women's Basketball team took on the Pittsburg State University Gorillas in round two of the 2025 MIAA Championships. Southern closes season in round two against the Gorillas with a score of 89-46.

Quarter 1:
Reese Webb opened the game with a layup, but the Gorillas responded with back-to-back three-pointers to take the lead.
Kennady Roach cut the deficit to one point, sinking a three pointer with 7:07 on the clock. As the quarter wound down,
Grace Frazier and
Makenna Yokley combined for four points, narrowing the gap to 15-11 with under four minutes to play. Webb added a jumper in the final minute, bringing the score to 22-15 at the end of the first quarter.
Quarter 2:
Ryan Franklin opened the second quarter with a layup, cutting the deficit to 25-17.
Kennady Roach and
Grace Frazier followed with jumpers, bringing the score to 28-21 with 6:41 on the clock. The Gorillas responded with a scoring run, extending their lead as the Lions trailed 40-21 heading into halftime.
Quarter 3:
Ryan Franklin opened the Lions' third-quarter scoring with a layup at 9:09, followed by a jumper from
Grace Frazier at the 6:06 mark to bring the score to 49-25. With 1:33 remaining, Frazier added a pair of free throws, and Franklin followed with a jumper.
Kennady Roach capped off the quarter with a three-pointer in the final seconds, bringing the score to 63-34.
Quarter 4:
Ava Pautz knocked down back-to-back jumpers in the opening two minutes, bringing the score to 65-38. Seconds later,
Ryan Franklin added a jumper of her own.
Grace Frazier hit another shot at the 6:00 mark, followed by a pair of free throws from
Morgan Meyers. Pittsburg State would end the game with a score of 89-46.
