JOPLIN, Mo. – The Missouri Southern Student-Athlete Advisory Committee concluded another successful Trick or Treat So Others Can Eat campaign this week as the Lions collected and donated 6,156 non-perishable items to local food pantry, Souls Harbor.
Souls Harbor is a Christ-centered, multifaceted human services and homeless shelter in downtown Joplin. The organization strives to be a light for the homeless, less fortunate, and the hurting.
MSSU student-athletes canvassed and delivered fliers throughout Joplin neighborhoods last week before collecting and donating the non-perishable items to Souls Harbor this week.
This marked the 17th year of the Trick or Treat So Others Can Eat canned food drive that MSSU SAAC has completed.
