JOPLIN, Mo. – Missouri Southern State University student-athletes completed a record-setting semester in the classroom during the fall, earning a cumulative Fall 2025 grade-point average of 3.32, the highest fall semester student-athlete GPA on record.
187 MSSU student-athletes earned a 3.5 or better GPA while 78 of those student-athletes had a perfect 4.0. Standout 4.0 performers came from Women's Golf, Softball, Women's Basketball, Men's Golf, Football, Women's Soccer, and Women's Cross Country/Track & Field.
Eleven Lion programs had a GPA of 3.00 or higher for the Fall 2025 semester.
Women's Golf led all MSSU Athletic programs with a 3.83 GPA followed by Softball (3.73 GPA), Women's Cross Country/Track & Field (3.57), Women's Basketball (3.53 GPA) and Volleyball (3.43).
On the men's side, Men's Golf paced the programs with a 3.35 GPA, while Baseball finished at 3.29 and Men's Cross Country/Track & Field had a 3.23.
A total of 25 student-athletes received their degrees from Missouri Southern State University during MSSU's Fall 2025 graduation ceremonies.
