ST. JOSEPH, Mo. —The Missouri Southern women's golf team showcased determination and solid play at the MWSU Women's Holiday Inn Express Invitational, facing challenging course conditions over two rounds of competition.

In round one, Gabrielle Rettinghaus led the Lions with a 78 (+6), followed by Katarina Chynoranska and Maryn Harlow, who each shot 83 (+11). Caitlin Metcalfe posted an 85 (+13), while Avary Eckert finished with a 94 (+22). Independent competitor Cierra Tunley carded a 91 (+19).

The second round saw MetCalfe bounce back with a 77 (+5), matching Katarina Chynoranksa, who shot a 79 (+7). Avary Eckert improved to 78 (+6), while Gabrielle Rettinghaus and Maryn Harlow posted scores of 85 (+13) and 88 (+16), respectively. Tunley finished with an 84 (+12).

At the conclusion of the tournament, MetCalfe and Chynoranksa tied for 32nd place with overall scores of +18, Rettinghaus placed 36th at +19, followed by Harlow in 82nd (+27), Eckert in 84th (+28), and Tunley finishing 88th (+31).
