The Lions would push the match to four sets taking the first on a dominating performance, with a hitting percentage of .341. The match would end in a Bearcats, 3-1 victory.

Set 1: Missouri Southern 23 | Northwest Missouri State 25
Northwest Missouri jumped to an early 5-2 lead, but
Alana Moesch answered with a kill to bring the Lions within one at 5-4. The teams battled point-for-point, with a kill by
Fernanda Merancio creating momentum for the Lions. Moesch and
Josey Goldberg added kills, closing the gap to 10-9. The Bearcats responded with a three-point run to make it 13-9 before Southern mounted a 5-0 rally, fueled by Moesch (two kills), Goldberg (kill), and
Amelia Neels (kill), to even the score. However, Northwest Missouri regained control late, sealing the first set.
Set 2: Missouri Southern 22 | Northwest Missouri State 25
Missouri Southern opened with a 3-0 lead, powered by an
Alana Moesch kill and a
Kyla Randall ace. The Lions maintained control, holding off Northwest Missouri until the Bearcats closed within one point at 13-12. Southern responded with back-to-back kills from
Fernanda Merancio, extending their lead to 16-12. However, Northwest Missouri answered with a decisive 6-1 run to take a 19-18 lead and claimed the remaining points to secure the second set.
Set 3: Missouri Southern 25 | Northwest Missouri State 21
Both teams fought hard at the start of the third set, but Missouri Southern took an early lead as
Amelia Neels and
Hannah Allick blocked the Bearcats' attack, pushing the Lions ahead 8-6. Southern's offense then surged to a 16-10 advantage with contributions from
Fernanda Merancio,
Kyra Thomas,
Alana Moesch,
Josey Goldberg, and Neels. The Bearcats worked to narrow the gap, the Lions held firm, closing out the set.
Set 4: Missouri Southern 15 | Northwest Missouri State 25
The Bearcats opened the fourth set with a strong 5-1 lead, briefly interrupted by an
Alana Moesch kill for Missouri Southern. An ace from
Josey Goldberg and another Moesch kill brought the Lions within one at 5-4. However, Northwest Missouri surged ahead with an 8-2 run, extending their advantage to 12-7. A final 6-0 rally by the Bearcats sealed the set and secured the match.
