Wichita, Kan. - The MSSU Women's Soccer team traveled to Wichita, Kan. to take on Newman in their first matchup of the season, which resulted in a 2-1 loss for the Lions.
After an early goal from Newman,
Aisley Stevens tied things up at 1-1 with a goal in the 30th minute from the assist of
Dallie Hill.
Despite
Bella Smith saving five goals on the day, a second half goal from Newman was enough to top the Lions, 2-1.
The Women's Soccer team moves to 0-8-1 (0-2-0 MIAA) on the season and will travel to Edmond, Okla. to take on the University of Central Oklahoma on Sunday, October 1st at 1:00 PM.
