Edmond, Okla. - The Lions traveled to Edmond, Okla. to take on the Bronchos of Central Oklahoma on Sunday, October 1st, which resulted in a 1-1 draw for the Lions.
Maya Greenquist had a shot on goal for the Lions in the 40th minute, but it was saved by the Bronchos goalkeeper.
Bella Smith had a clean card going into the half, saving three goals, and keeping things tied at 0-0 at the half.
Aisley Stevens was able to find the back of the net in the 83rd minute from the assist of
Kennedy Williams to bring the score to 1-0 in favor of the Lions.
Despite
Bella Smith having 6 saves on the day, the Bronchos were able to score with 50 seconds remaining in the match to end the game in a tie of 1-1.
The Lions move to 0-8-2 (0-2-1 MIAA) on the season and will begin a two-game home-stand on Friday, October 6th to take on Northeastern State at 6:00 PM in their first home conference matchup of the season.
