Maryville, Mo. - The Lions began a four game road trip in Maryville, Missouri to take on Northwest Missouri on Friday, September 22, in their last game before MIAA conference play, which ultimately resulted in a 4-0 loss for the Lions.
The Lions started out the match aggressively with a shot from
Maya Greenquist, but was off target.
After a goal in the fourth minute for Northwest,
Victoria Torres took a shot that missed left in the 18th minute.
Dallie Hill took three shots mid-way through the first half for the Lions, one on goal, but unfortunately missed all three.
Northwest was able to capitalize before the half, scoring three more goals which made the score 4-0 at halftime.
Dallie Hill continued to stay aggressive offensively taking a shot on goal in the 49th minute, but was saved by the Bearcats goalkeeper.

Maya Greenquist,
Cathy Ray and
Jori Hays were all able to get shots on goal in the second half as well, but were all saved by Northwest ending the game at 4-0 in favor of the Bearcats.
The Lions move to 0-6-1 (0-0-0 MIAA) on the season and will begin conference play on Sunday, September 24nd at 1:00 PM on the road at St. Joseph, Missouri to take on Missouri Western for the second time this season after a 3-1 loss on Sunday, September 17th at home.
