Kansas City, Mo. -Â A total of 61 Missouri Southern student-athletes earned MIAA Academic Honors in the spring sports announcements that the conference office released in May. Six student-athletes were named Scholar-Athetes and four earned the MIAA Academic Excellence Award.
To be recognized on the Academic Honor Roll, one must have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of 3.00 or above at the certifying member institution. The individual must also have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.

A Scholar-Athlete is an individual that has a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of 3.50 or better at the certifying member institution. They must also have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms. The student-athlete must also earn All-MIAA honors with a top-three finish in their event at the Association's 2023 Indoor Track and Field Championship.

Lily Allman (Women's Golf) - For the second time in her career is an Academic Excellence Award winner with a 4.00 in education.
Dylan Bagley (Men's Golf) - For the second time in his career is an Academic Excellence Award winner with a 4.00 in marketing.
JP Rutledge (Men's Track & Field) - For the fourth time in his career is an Outdoor Academic Excellence Award winner with a 4.00 in education.
Julianna Washka (Women's Golf) - For the third time in her career is an Academic Excellence Award winner with a 4.00 in political science.
MIAA Scholar-Athletes
Kara Amos (Softball) - For the third time in her career is a Scholar-Athlete with a 3.58 in art and was named an All-MIAA honorable mention utility/pitcher.
Kelie Henderson (Women's Track & Field) - For the second time in her career is an Outdoor Scholar-Athlete with a 3.91 in education and was named All-MIAA in the 1500m run.
Henry Kusiak (Baseball) - For the third time in his career is a Scholar-Athlete with a 3.93 in biology and was named a first-team All-MIAA shortstop.
Ben Marckmann (Men's Golf) - For the first time in his career is a Scholar-Athlete with a 3.61 in international business and earned All-MIAA honors.
Tradgon McCrae (Men's Golf) - For the first time in his career is a Scholar-Athlete with a 3.56 in education and was named the MIAA Golfer of the Year.
LaNea Wallace (Women's Track & Field) - For the first time in her career is an Outdoor Scholar-Athlete with a 3.63 in nursing and was named All-MIAA as a part of the 4x100m relay team.
