Joplin, Mo. - The Missouri Southern women's golf program concluded the MIAA Championship tournament with a program-best finish of fifth at the Eagle Creek Golf Course on Wednesday, Apr. 26th.
Southern finished with a 330-round score to have a 969-tournament score (322-317-330) the lowest team score for the conference tournament in program history with a fifth-place finish.
Mia Scrimgeour finished tied for 10th after having rounds of 75-80-82. For the tournament she averaged 3.33 strokes on par threes, 4.50 on par fours, 5.17 on par fives with 32 pars and four birdies. Lily Allman finished tied for 22nd after 83-77-84. For the tournament she averaged 3.67 strokes on par threes, 4.63 on par fours, 5.08 on par fives with 30 pars and a birdie.
Irataxe Fernandez-Cano Aldasoro finished tied for 22nd after 83-84-77. For the tournament she averaged 3.67 strokes on par threes, 4.53 on par fours, 5.33 on par fives with 27 pars and two birdies. Kylie Carnes finished tied for 38th after 84-85-87. For the tournament she averaged 3.67 strokes on par threes, 4.90 on par fours, 5.42 on par fives, with 24 pars and a birdie.
Central Missouri won the team title with a 936-tournament score after having rounds of 310-305-321. Paige Hoffman of Northwest Missouri won the individual title with a 224-tournament score after rounds of 73-74-77.
