No. 4 Lions Claim Series Against TIgers With 17-8 Win

Hays, Kan. - The fourth ranked Missouri Southern baseball program claimed their seventh MIAA series with a 17-8 win over Fort Hays State on Saturday Apr. 1st at Larks Park.

The Lions (27-7, 16-3 MIAA) were led by Treghan Parker going 3-for-6 with seven RBIs, two runs scored and a grand slam homer. Nate Mieszkowski scored four times and both of his hits were homers as seven Lions had two or more hits and five had two or more RBIs in the game. Kyle Moore picked up the win with 4.2 innings of relief while striking out six and Cale McCallister closing out the game with a shutout ninth.

In the first inning Fort Hays State (13-22, 4-15 MIAA) scored twice and a sacrifice fly in the second inning gave the Tigers an early 3-0 lead.
