16 Individuals And One Relay Team Qualifies for NCAA Indoor Championships

Joplin, Mo. - The Missouri Southern track and field programs had 16 individuals and the men's distance medley relay team qualify for the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships.

The indoor meet will be in Virginia Beach, Va. at the Virginia Beach Sports Center on Mar. 10th and 11th. 

For the men 11 individuals in seven events at the meet, and as a team is 6th nationally in the latest USTFCCCA poll. Ryan Riddle qualified for the 3000m run and is a part of the DMR team, Peyton Barton and Connor Boyd qualified for the weight throw, Jordan Garr and Cedric Pearson qualified for the shot put, Taris Jackson qualified for the triple jump, Brendan Jewell qualified for the high jump, Malachi Pipkin qualified for the 60m hurdles and the DMR team will consist of Riddle, Gabe McClain, Riley Simpson and Kelton Sorrell.

The women had five individuals in five events at the meet, and as a team is 21st nationally in the latest USTFCCA poll. Kiara Smith qualified for the 60m hurdles and 200m Dash, Samariae Bonds qualified for the shot put and weight throw, Mallory Huber qualified for the weight throw and LaNea Wallace and Chardae Overstreet qualified for the 400m dash.
