Joplin, Mo. - The Missouri Southern volleyball team started their week with a midweek matchup at home against the #23 nationally ranked, and MIAA leading Central Missouri Jennies. Southern dropped the match 3-1, falling to 13-13 (6-11 MIAA) on the year.
MSSU took the first two points of the match, but UCM answered with a run that would eventually lead to a 25-15 first set victory. Not letting that get the best of them, the Lions responded with a 25-21 win in the second set to even the score. Central Missouri broke that tie, regaining the lead with a 25-16 third set score. They would go on to take the fourth set as well, 25-15 for a 3-1 final match score.
