Joplin, Mo. - The Missouri Southern volleyball team was back at home Friday evening, playing host to the #17 Central Oklahoma Bronchos. Despite the 3-0 final score in favor of the visitors, the Lions fought hard with the Bronchos.
The first set was very back-and-forth until late when the Bronchos took a 21-15 lead, but the Lions weren't done yet. They fought back to make it 22-21, but UCO went on to take it 25-21. Set two was filled with runs by both teams, ultimately ending 25-19 in favor of Central Oklahoma. Southern had a decent lead midway through the third set, but UCO won it 25-21 to seal the match victory.

The loss moves MSSU to 12-12 (5-10 MIAA) on the year. They'll be back at home on Saturday, October 28 as they play host to the Gorillas from Pittsburg State. Match time is scheduled for 7:00 PM at Leggett and Platt.
