Joplin, Mo. - The Women's Soccer team hosted the Bearcats of Northwest Missouri State on Friday, October 27, at Hal Bodon Field for the final home match of the season.
Victoria Torres had the first shot on goal for the Lions in the 18th minute, but it was saved by the Bearcat goalie.

Bella Smith had three saves in the first half, keeping the score tied at 0-0 going into the half.
Lariah Boone had a shot on goal in the 60th minute for the Lions, but it was also saved by the Bearcats.
Maya Greenquist had a chance to take the lead for the Lions with a shot in the 64th minute, but put too much leg into it as it sailed over the top goalpost.
The Lions defense held strong all 90 minutes, not allowing a single goal for the first time this season, and ending the match at 0-0.
The draw advances the Lions to 0-14-3 (0-8-2 MIAA) on the season. The Lions will compete in their final match of the season on Sunday, October 29th at 1:00 PM against #15 Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri.
