Emporia, Kan. - The Missouri Southern volleyball team started their last road series of the year Friday evening, taking on the Hornets of Emporia State on their court. Home court advantage seemed to be in play, as the Hornets took the match 3-0, moving MSSU to 12-10 (5-8 MIAA) on the year.
ESU jumped to an early 2-0 set lead, taking the first set 25-13 and the second set 25-16. MSSU made a late push in the third, but ultimately fell 25-23 to give the hosts the victory.
