Emporia, Kan. - The Women's Soccer team completed a two game road trip Sunday afternoon, taking on Emporia State in Emporia, Kansas.

Bella Smith shined in the first half, saving 7 shots on goal from the Hornets, until the 44th minute where the Hornets took a 1-0 lead before the half.
After an early second-half goal from the Hornets,
Dallie Hill found the back of the net for the Lions, narrowing their deficit to 2-1 in favor of Emporia State.
Sofia Fatino followed Hill's goal with two quick shots on goal, but both were saved by the Emporia State goalkeeper, ending the game at a 2-1 victory for the Hornets.
The loss drops MSSU to 0-12-2 (0-6-1 MIAA) on the season. The Lions will begin a three game home-stand on Friday, October 20th at 6:00 PM against Fort Hays State at Hal Bodon Field.
