Rolla, Mo. – The Missouri Southern track and field program sent a group of athletes to Missouri S&T today to compete in the Missouri S&T Qualifier.
In total, the Lions came away with three event wins and six top four performances.
Claire Luallen won the women's 100m hurdles in an NCAA Provisional Qualifying time of 13.87. That mark ranks 13
th nationally this year and solidifies her seeding and chances of making the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Chardae Overstreet picked up a win in the 400m dash in an NCAA Provisional Qualifying time of 55.63, while
Jonathan Watts won the long jump in an NCAA Provisional Qualfiying distance of 7.39m.
Katie Candrl was third in the women's pole vault hitting a height of 3.53m, while
Brendan Rozier and
Nathan Kovis placed second and fourth in the men's javelin. Both hit NCAA Provisional Qualifying Marks with Rozier hitting a distance of 62.79m and Kovis hitting 59.99m.
Southern will be back at it on Saturday as the Lions are at Nebraska-Kearney.
