Miami Shores, Fla. – The Missouri Southern baseball team had a hard time getting on the board and the Lions fell 5-0 tonight at Barry University.
Southern (3-2) got two hits from
Ryan Doran, while
Matt Miller,
Will Larson and
Tommy Stevenson had a hit each.
Henry Kusiak,
Jordan Fitzpatrick and Miller each had a walk.
Logan VanWey started and went five innings, striking out seven and walking just one in the game.
Cale McCallister thew an inning of relief, while
Ryan Paschal threw two-thirds and
Scott Duensing threw the final inning and a third.
Barry (2-3) got three hits from Brandon Abreu, while starter Christian Orduna went five innings and picked up the win.
Barry scored two in the third and two in the fourth and added a single run in the seventh.
Southern will be back in action tomorrow as the Lions travel to West Palm Beach to take on Palm Beach Atlantic. First pitch is set for 6 pm ET.
