Women's Golf Moves Up To Finish Fifth At Augustana

Sioux Falls, SD - The Missouri Southern women's golf team moved up a spot from day one to day two to finish fifth at the Augustana Fall Invite hosted at Elmwood Golf Course. 

The Lions shot 16 strokes better in day two, carting a 324 to finish at 664 for the two-round tourney. 

Kylie Carnes and Hannah Torres finished tied for 20th as the pair shot identical 163's over the two days. McKayla Hussey was 29th with a 168, while Maggie Moore was tied for 32nd at 170. Kenzie Kirkhart shot a 182 and was tied for 50th. 

Sioux Falls took the team title with a score of 618, while Augustana was second, eight strokes back. Northwest Missouri was third, followed by Minot state, the Lions, Southwest Minnesota State, South Dakota Mines, Black Hills State, MSU Moorhead and Minesota-Crookston. 

The Lions will be at the Drury Fall Invitational on October 14 and 15 hosted at Silo Ridge Golf Club.
