Joplin, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern football team will open up spring practice tomorrow afternoon as the Lions will hold the first official practice of the Jeff Sims era inside Hughes Stadium at 3:30 pm. 

The Lions will have 14 practices with three scrimmages and the final scrimmage on April 13 serving as the annual Spring Game. 
 
The first two practices will represent no contact with just helmets with the first contact coming in practice No. 3. Full pads will first be instituted on practice No. 4 on March 14.
