Women's Golf Finishes Second At Tabor

Newton, Kan. -- The Missouri Southern women's golf team finished second, while Maggie Moore and Kylie Carnes finished third individually as the Lions competed at the Tabor College Fall Invite at Sand Creek Station Golf Course. 

Carnes and Moore tied for third with a two-day total of 170. Hannah Torres was tied for fifth, just one stroke back at 171, while Kenzie Kirkhart was tied for ninth at 180, giving the Lions four scorers in the top ten. McKayla Hussey finished in 21st at 195. 

The Lions shot a 691 over the two days and finished second, behind Bethany College. Lawrence Tech was third, followed by Friends University and Tabor College. 

Southern will be back in action on October 21 and 22 as the Lions compete in the Park University Fall Classic held at the National and Duece in Kansas City.
