Edmond, Okla. - The Missouri Southern Lions (2-12-1, 0-7-1 MIAA) out shot the Central Oklahoma Bronchos (8-5-2, 4-2-2 MIAA) 12-10 in Friday afternoon's non-conference match at Tom Thompson Field in Edmond.

UCO netted two goals in the first half as Katie Killion scored on a breakaway in the sixth minute and Victoria Neblett on a breakaway in the 34th. In the second half Paige Matacchiera put a shot just over the reach of the Lions' keeper in the 60th minute to make it 3-0 and Camrie Hurst put in a rebound shot in the 82nd to make it 4-0.

The Lions had the first shot of the match just 38 seconds in as senior Kayla Gajewski's shot was saved by Central Oklahoma's keeper Elle Stover, and senior Hannah Ishmael put a shot on goal in the 17th minute that was saved by Stover. Sophomore Taylor Beck, who lead the team in shots with three, added the Lions third scoring chance in the opening half in the 43rd minute but Stover saved that shot as well.

In the second half the Lions out shot UCO 6-4, but only two of those were on goal as senior Kimmy Hulse's shot in the 75th minute was saved by Ally Salls and Beck's second shot on goal in the match came in the 81st and was saved by Salls.

Senior goalie Shawnee Phillips played all 90 minutes in the net and gathered two saves on the night.
