Prior to Southern - Phillips recently finished her eligibilty in basketball at Southern...she helped the Lions to their first 20 win season since 1995-96...she played in all 27 games during her senior season, averaging 6.3 points and 2.6 rebounds per contest...Phillips appeared in all 27 games for the Lions at guard as a junior making five starts...Averaged 6.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game...A native of Santa Rosa, California, Phillips prepped at Santa Rosa High School where she was a four-year varsity performer on both the pitch and the hardwood ... on the pitch, she earned Defensive MVP honors for the North-bay League in 2010, first team All-Conference honors in 2009, and honorable mention All-Conference honors in 2008...on the basketball court she was a three-time All-Conference selection, a member of the North-bay League All-Star Team and averaged 10.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, and three steals as a senior. 

Personal -  The daughter of Tivon and Debbie Phillips, Shawnee is a criminal justice major at Southern.
