Men's Track qualifies two for nationals/Five named All-Region

Joplin, Mo. -- Missouri Southern men's track athletes Michael Juergens and Clark Tanksley have both qualified for the 2011 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships to be held in Albuquerque, NM next weekend. 

Juergens and Tanksley were also part of five Lions that were named to the first-ever United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Region team. 

Juergens won the pole vault this past weekend at the MIAA Indoor Championships with a height of 16-0.75. He currently ranks seventh in Division II with that height. Tanksley hit his high mark of 6-11 in the high jump at this year's Radio Shack Invitational and also ranks seventh in Division II in the event.
