Joplin, Mo. -- Corey Reynolds picked up a
provisional height and the championship in the high jump at the
Razorback Invite today in Fayetteville on the campus of the
University of Arkansas.
Reynolds jumped a provisional height of 2.05 meters, while Chris
Brown placed third at 1.95 meters. Seth Hackney also picked up a
provisional and won a title with a distance of 16.05 meters in the
shot put. James Coleman was second in the event, while Kyle Hancock
was fourth.
Coleman also placed third in the discus with a heave of 47.53
meters, while Hancock and Tyler Burgess placed fourth and fifth,
respectively in the hammer throw.
Aki Nummela placed second in the 1500 meters with a time of
3:54.05, while Andrew Wright was sixth in the 200m and 12th in the
400m. Josh Mathis, Nick Niggemann and Sam Pogue placed 10th, 11th,
and 12th in the 3k.
Corey Shumate was third in the pole vault with a height of 4.75
meters, while DJ Dunmire and Michael Juergens were 7th and 8th in
the event. Taylor McClelland was fourth in the long jump with a
distance of 6.99 metes.
The Lions will be back in action on April 9th at the John
McDonnell Invite at the University of Arkansas.
