Warrensburg, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern men's
track and field team had five top five finishes today at the
Central Missouri Classic in the team's final tune-up before the
MIAA Championships next weekend.
Corey Reynolds placed third in the high jump with a height of
6-6.75, while Corey Shumate was third in the pole vault with a
height of 15 feet, nine inches. DJ Dunmire was sixth in the
vault.
Seth Hackney was fifth in the shot put with a distance of
53-3.5, while Andrew Wright and DJ Bland were fourth and fifth in
the 400 meters. Jake Crocker was 11th in the 800 meters, while Sam
Pogue placed 18th.
Jacob Khan and Maurlon Bembry placed 10th and 11th in the 200
meters.
The Lions will be back in action next weekend when Southern
plays host to the 2010 MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at
the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center.
