Joplin, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern mens tack
and field team had a strong showing in the 200 meters tonight in
the first night of the 2010 Fazolils/Baymont Inn Invitational at
the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center.
Jordan Patton placed fourth in the 200 meter dash with a time of
22.76, while Jacob Khan was eighth and Maurlon Bembry was ninth.
Jerry Jones, Andrew Wright and Roger Byers placed 11th, 14th, and
27th, respectively in the event.
The distance medley relay team of Sam Pogue, Kevin Wright,
Adrian Liddell and Nick Niggeman placed third with a time of
10:36.27.
Andrew Gassen placed ninth in the weight throw with a distance
of 49-02.50. Kyle Hancock was 17th and Tyler Burgess was 20th in
the event.
The Lions will be back in action tomorrow morning when they
finish up with day two of the meet beginning at 10:30 am.
