Pomatto earned MIAA Track and Field Athlete of the Week after setting a Missouri Southern javelin record, besting the old mark by more than four meters, in her first collegiate action of her career. 

She won the event at Emporia State’s Spring Invitational last weekend with an NCAA automatic qualifying mark of 50.63 meters, which is the top mark in Division II by more than a meter and is ninth-best in all divisions so far this season.
