Biography

2012 - Played in all 30 matches and 96 of 100 sets for Southern at outside hitter as a junior, Montano tied for second on the team in kills with 149 while also ranking second in kills per set with 1.55. Finished fourth on the team in service aces with 15 while ranking fifth on the team in blocks with 38. Finished with a season-high ten kills at Southwest Baptist while also having a season-high 13 total attempts on receptions. Recorded 74 digs on the year, including a season-high nine in the season-opener against Illinois-Springfield.     

Prior to Southern - An All-Conference pick both seasons, Montano was an All-Region selection last year, while being named to the conference All-Tournament team in each season. Last year as a sophomore, Montano hit .296 with 228 kills, averaging 2.7 kills per set. She averaged 1.87 digs per set, while knocking back 42 blocks for 0.49 per set.

Personal - The daughter of Pedro and Flecidad Montano, Nai will be an international business major at Southern.
