Joshua Moore enters his first season as Interim Head Coach of the Missouri Southern Volleyball team after spending the past three seasons as an assistant coach with the program.
In his time as an assistant at MSSU, Moore coached eight All-MIAA selections, four MIAA All-Tournament Team selections, five CSC Academic All-District Honorees, and three Glen Dolence Leadership Award Winners.
In 2024, he served as acting head coach for the latter half of the season.
In 2023, Moore helped the Lions finish over .500 for the first season since 2010. MSSU also won its first conference tournament match in program history.
In 2022, MSSU won eight matches against ranked opponents and qualified for conference tournament.
Moore is a 2020 graduate of Missouri Southern with a bachelor's in Secondary English Education. He also earned his Master's of Science in Management from Southern in 2023.
He served as an assistant coach and English teacher at Carl Junction High School for three years. Moore has also coached with Club JOMO Volleyball during that time period.
Prior to CJHS, Moore was a junior high volleyball coach in the Neosho (Missouri) School District and has also served as a staff member, coordinator and tutor with the Boys and Girls Club of Southwest Missouri.
A native of Webb City, Missouri, Moore is a graduate of Webb City High School.
Joshua is married to Olivia Moore.
